justinhannaford wrote:Thanks for the heads up re the cd. I could never remember seeing one so all good. The shop called me yesterday and offered to give me a new camera and return the initial one to Ricoh, and I am happy to say my new camera appears to be working as expected. I still need to take more photos to confirm but looks ok. Have to say that the shop were great in the end.
Now, I can hopefully get out and take some decent images!

Thank you for the permission. Here are the crops:
Last crop is especially good example that there is something wrong with this camera, because you should not see such bad posterization in the DNG files. Not even in Fine quality JPEG. So it's definitely weird.
BTW, in your last post, you mentioned one important point that could be the clue why I cannot reproduce your problem! You are using AdobeRGB while I'm using sRGB! I will give it a try with the Adobe RGB. Could you please try the sRGB option?
I also asked you for your camera settings. Here is how you can extract them:
Go to Menu >> Key Custom options >> Reg. My Settings >> and in the appeared "Chose a Destination" window select "Card". Then simply select one of the 6 available slots to save your actual GRDIV configuration.
Now connect the camera to computer (or SD card via the card reader) and go to Myset folder, where you should see something like myset01.ifo. Then simply upload the ifo file to your post (using Post Reply button. Quick reply does not have the ability to attach files).
I will try your configuration on my GRDIV, just to see if it has something to do with the camera settings or not. But my personal opinion is that it's something HW related.
