September 2011 - voting

Postby odklizec » Sat Oct 01, 2011 9:49 pm

September contest open for voting! Thank you all for your nice entries folks! Why I'm not surprised this theme was so crowded? ;) Ricoh cameras were definitely made for street and candid photography. Unfortunately, this time we got also two disqualifications. The Jannie for too late entry and soloist for his externally linked photo without preserved EXIF. Usually, I'm trying to contact the affected participant and even trying to fix the problematic entries with externally linked photos. But I can't do anything in cases there is no EXIF in them. I'm sorry folks.

As always, the voting will be open for next 7 days. You can (but you don't need to) select up to 3 favorite photos!
In case of too low number of votes or split vote, I reserve the right to select the winner myself.

Please, don't vote for yourself! Be fair and vote for competitor's work! Thank you!

Hi folks, I'm sorry, but I will have to restart the voting. There is a problem with two entries from larksyrm who was probably confused by the old and no longer valid description about the two allowed photos for this contest. I'm sorry for the confusion I made. Please ignore the voting for now. I will announce the restart of voting phase as soon as I will get the info from larksyrm about which photo he wish to keep for this contest.

BooHoo! I thought I had a couple of days into October to get my September entry in? It was a sure winner, too!

David, the rules state that the deadline for posting contest photos is the last day of the month at 12PM forum time.

There are too many entries and too many variables in people's tastes to be able to be sure of something like that.
Cheers, Athena.

As you probably noticed, the voting is now restarted. Once again, I'm sorry for overlooking the problem and forgotten/misleading description.

BTW, this time it was really hard to select the "winners". Very well done folks!

Thanks for the pointer, Athena. I really must read these things.

I've seen Octobers voting, and I notice one thing.

You guys can't choose good photo for win. I mean wtf. Stupid birds on sky. What kind of _________ ( put your word here ) you must to be, when you choose as a wining photo.

My doubts that you can't choose it are seem pretty fair when I look up into votes here.

OK, the shine on is really good photo no doubts that is the sure winner.

But the votes for some others photo, I mean .... are you stupid or what?

What makes you think it's ok to criticise other people's prefrences and work? They might see things in pictures that you don't, and vice versa. Your comments are totally uncalled for, and you are the first person I've seen on here actually getting nasty. There's no room for that sort of rude behaviour on this forum. If you don't agree with how things are, then you don't have to participate, and you should keep your negative opinions to yourself when it means that you are going to be rude and hurtful to others.
Cheers, Athena.
