Andy's photo reminded me of one I took in Paris of a funhouse ride. My associations: the saturated colors; the reverse curve of the glass dome to the curve of the carriage in the ride; the woman's upraised arms/hands behind neck and the upraised arm of the boy on the left.

From one amusment park ride to another.
Taken at Luna Park at night. This was handheld as the ride and its lights moved - 6 sec exposure as confirmed by the EXIF.
Behind are the lights of a roller coaster train.

The patterns remind me of a lissajou pattern [ http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lissajous_curve] which is generated on a CRO!

Marcus, even though I like your entry, I too somehow miss the connection between your and Tim's entry? ;)

BTW, if I may ask you for something, next time please upload a bit smaller photo. Too big photos make the loading of posts somewhat slow. Thanks! ;)

I saw the dancing light above and remember the moving colors at "Tropicana" (so called roundabout)

Still on a "Theme Park" theme,
The image at top of the previous image of the shark reminded me of the entrance to Luna Park.
