Very interesting findings, but I am bit confused with my initial testings. I found the default settings very conservative, at least compared with my other compact camera(Canon A570 is).

My initial settings are Contrast+1, Colour+1. Sharp 0 for landscape
For portraits I am using Contrast 0, Colour-1, Sharp -1
B/W: Contrast+2, Sharp +1

In general I will try to get a good JPG settings to avoid post processing

My aging eyes shows that with the GX200, the jpegs are better than raw. Or am I just seeing differently?

To my eyes, GX200 JPEG shows less noise, but also much less details. Above ISO400, GX200 JPEG looks really bad. I can extract much better results from RAW. Maybe with more noise, but definitely much more pleasant to view than smeared JPEG. But it's always a matter of personal taste.

Pavel, looks like you have a spam bot in your midsts. I've seen similar posts elsewhere in the site.
