Pavel did repair the site from the recent outage, so its business as usual.

I do hope this site will continue despite slow go. There are two culprits, us and Ricoh. As Richard pointed out 18 month product renewal is part of it or rather lack of it on mirror less side. In the past we wrote a lot of suggestions on GR-GRX line but it looks nobody up there listens. A GR with collapsible 50mm (ff eq.) would be nice. As well as next ten GR weather sealed, they could keep the rectractable design and protecting the barrel with removable filter adopter with O-ring. But of course one could come with many suggestions so I stop here.
Another sinner is us. Partly to procrastination, it is taking a lot of pictures (blessing and curse of digital) and thinking too long what to post what not. Forums are considered a bit more serious site the Facebook with it`s steady stream of mixed quality pictures taken with smartphones. I know some good photogs that nearly gave up cameras shooting and mostly do away with iPhones. Then comes the curse of progress. I do must admit that sometimes, filled with infos on the newest sensor resolutions, high ISO perf, shooting speed and so on I do check my old GXR, how is the grain at 3200 ISO, how much of visible detail I see at 16x magnification, how fast it writes down RAWs ( ridiculous) and so on, forgetting to concentrate on pictures. Of course progress is there, of course I would`t mind fast AF with 50mm ( my A12 50macro is broken), fast writing time and so on. Right now I stick to the combo I started when buying GXR, that was A12 28 and A12 50macro. Now it`s GR with 28 and manual 50 on GXR. Of course, now ad then I use other glass I hoarded up through years, mostly various old RF lenses. AF? I just up ISO to 800 to 1600, close down to 8-11, zone focus and use optical finder. Primitive set up but often works. So friends let`s keep trucking sending in some photos taken with paleolitic Ricoh gear to keep this site going. Stanislaw p.s. I came across this article some days after I posted ... hers-fail/

I totally concur with the above sentiments.

And in that spirit, here are 4 shots from my GRD IV taken on my trip to Japan, from which I've just returned. Shots taken in Kyoto and Kobe.
