The auctions in this first post have ended. Always look at the last post in this thread to see the latest auctions, sniffed up either by me or others.
The purpose with tracking down old gems is that the cameras are very inexpensive but still very useful and able to deliver some quality.
Thus, I'll not keep track of the latest models.
So what models am I going to AVOID digging up?
1) Personally, I'm more or less going to exclude following models: R6, R7, R8 and R10. But not the CX-series. Simply because the last ones in the R-series are models which not have been enough appreciated (I have not used them myself, but read what many others have said) by the Ricoh-community I think. Mainly because of smeared / digital looking noise / Details, but also slow AF compared to R1 - R5 with Phase detection. CX1 brought back some of the speed again.
2) I'll also try and avoid digging up cameras with way too low pixel-count by today's standards. Also, it I'll avoid a few models in the RR-series mainly because I've been told that most of them are not even made by Ricoh themselve and not very good.
3) Also old models which can't be used with either AA or AAA-batteries and require some odd / rare special-battery which may be hard to find in order to get the camera to work.
To others. Feel free to post Ebaylinks to Ricoh cameras you too and feel free to choose whatever models you want.
