Siebenschläfertag

Postby olyz » Wed Jun 27, 2012 11:15 pm

Today is "Siebenschläfertag" and an old rule of thumb says:
"If it rains on Siebenschläfertag, the rain may not abate for seven weeks."
Horrible :(

lovely shots all ;) ... though favor the rain drops - especially the soft cooling feel and varied greens of image 1 8-)

Cheers - Kort

Great shots - #1 & 4 are especially good - a bad (but sadly accurate so far) weather forecast but perhaps not quite 7 weeks worth?

The last one is truely brilliant...one for posters and postcards I would say! Not that the others are bad... :)

We have the English equivalent day coming-up fast - 15 July - so perhaps even more rain then (but only in England, not Scotland please)!

St Swithun's day if thou dost rain
For forty days it will remain
St Swithun's day if thou be fair
For forty days 'twill rain nae mare
