Having owned Ricoh’s new GRD II for just over a month and shot ~1000 images with it, I decided to write my own hands on review of this little gem of a compact camera.

I initially thought I would publish a few pages as HTML, however it quickly grew to 20 pages, so I have since packaged it as a PDF file and made it available as a download - Ricoh GRD II Review. Enjoy!

Nice review John! Thanks for sharing! Can I attach it directly to your post?

Thanks odklizec.

I'd prefer if the link was kept intact as I like to track all copyright downloads and content from my site.

BTW, I've revised the review to include more info on colour rendering and noise reduction.

If only the two companies could join forces and merge the two cameras into one, with the DP1's image quality and the Ricoh's user interface and responsiveness, you'd almost have the perfect compact camera.

Sums that up nicely, I was really quite fancying the DP1, but am holding off until I can lay my hands on one! If only Ricoh would go for it, I'd be in the market.
