Hi Vince! Sorry, I overlooked your previous post. GRDII most probably does a bit higher JPEG compression, than for example D200. But no, I don't think it's the main cause of the current problem with NR artifacts and color bleeding. I think the major reason why the GRDII JPEG files are "only" 3.5MB is the fact that most of the noise is gone (and so tiny details). And this alone makes the JPEG file size much smaller, even with no JPEG compression.

Secret of NR without loss of grain and details - LAB mode.
I convert the image (JPG) to LAB (use Photoshop) and apply noise reduction separately for "a" and "b" colour channels (I use Neat Image),
also available sharpening only Luminance channel.

Hi and thanks for the tests. Do you use a custom profile in Noiseninja or the default settings. If so, do you have any profiles you could upload for others to try them out?
