Flip-up LCD is the only thing I miss in GR. By the way Fuji makes wide converter for X70. Have you tried it and how is the lens comparing to GR?

I tried it a the store versus the Ricoh converter. The Icoh seemed sharper even on the X70.

Rumours are swirling about that both Ricoh (GR3?) and Fuji (X80?) are about to launch new variants in the next few months. Have heard that Fuji plans Pop EVF, 24 mp and a new sharper lens. I do hope Ricoh responds appropriately. It's time for a serious upgrade to what was undeniably my one-time Favourite camera.

Well looking at the size of both converters Ricoh with it`s bigger front element looks more business. At f 5.6 I have no complaints.
As to X70 I tried it in my camera store and I liked it but when holding it felt just too small on the right side. My thumb rested agains the right upper corner of LCD. Ricoh feels more right. I do agree that Ricoh needs to follow up its success with GR especially now when the rumours are swirling about troubles around the Ricoh-Pentax brand. One thing both cameras would surely benefit was a bayonet mount for converters. That`s why I my GW-3 is permanently fused with filter adopter. Screwing on and off is gently saying, a pain in the thread. Another thing would be weather sealing the body and well functioning remote control with display.

I was able to compare the 2: the GR and the X70 and in spite of the reclining and tactile screen of the X70 the optical disappointed me! The photos with the Ricoh GR I liked more especially on the edges of the image that were all well stitched while on the X70 it appeared a lack of sharpness. It is despite all a good device!
