Acquired a Nikkor fish-eye some time ago and when having been invited to a vernissage the other day with all the nearby Strecno castle open for our free exploration I took the opportunity as a fish-eye afternoon. Here are some landscape samples.

Beautiful use of a fish-eye Peter, does have its advantages....

Nice ones Peter. I like #2 the most, you've managed to fill the frame well.
I had a Zuiko 16mm for a while. I used it on occasions.

Thank you both much. The fish-eye looks quite usable not only for that funny portraiture stuff with bulging noses, but e.g. also for one shot panoramas covering maybe 150 degrees on APS-C after straightening the verticals though this kind of usage reduces the image resolution quite a lot. (The shots above are without any straightening applied.)

Thanks Christian. A stony castle on a rock and its highest tower helped a lot to the view angle. :)

Great shots Peter,

That lens certainly does the business and delivers great coverage & quality.

Hi Peter,
a tricky lens to use, but you have some very good subjects there I would say! ;)
I did consider buying a Minolta MD 16mm for the GXR but the crop factor makes it more or less pointless, so did not waste my euros...
Take care,
Andy
