Lamentation of Christ by Riccadonna

As you probably know I`m a roman catholic church goer ( a bit of not salonfaehig in these days :( ) and choir singer. We have some restoration work going on and one day when I entered a room I got a bit of shock seeing only the figure then I saw our conservator working and the picture was there. Of course I took some more another day but sometimes you decide, one is enough. Classic point of view made of course famous by photograph of dead Che Guevara. One of the earliest seeing that way was painted by Andrea Mantegna in 1490 his Lamentation of dead Christ hence name of post. Stanislaw

Excellent! Is that JC's drum kit in the background? It wouldn't be the same without the blanket.

I agree on blanket, it`kind of shroud. As to drums I have no clue. Will check it.
