Not really a bridge, but sort of -- in Haute Loire, France.

Best regards, Gerd

Gerd,

That counts as a bridge and it reminded me of this one in Golspie in the Highlands.

Here is a fine example of Highland engineering:

Maisy was brave enough to cross it despite not liking bridges with gaps that bounce up and down - the others were not so keen. This is one of the last pictures I have of her as she died just 3 weeks later aged 16.

Richard,
That Golspie bridge looks indeed very similar to mine!

Another one from Haute Loire from last year. I had to hurry because my wife wasn't very keen on crossing this bridge.
Best regards, Gerd

My wife who studied civil engineering also took some photos of "real" bridges. Here are two from a bridge in Denmark and one from the bridge between Denmark and Sweden.
Best regards, Gerd

'over the sea to Skye' would be an appropriate title for this one: the crossing between Kyle of Lochalsh and Kyleakin, Scotland.

This is another old railway bridge. It's near Lenwade in Norfolk, England and is part of the Marriott's Way which is a 21 mile pathway from Norwich to Aylsham on an old railway bed.
