Candid Guys, Maldon (Home of the famous Sea Salt)

Postby petach » Thu Aug 16, 2012 5:09 pm

The first guy; I bumped into last year in a different town and took a few shots, bumped into him again today (on a different hog). His name is Lodewyk Pretor, he is an artist/sculptor.

I only had my 5d +17-40 with me. Sorry!

Very nice dynamic perspective. Great shots as usual. The 17-40 is on my list, but I'm undecided whether to go for the 16-35 instead or only the 17mm tilt-shift lens. Seems to be a fairly capable lens in the hands of a capable photographer. You made my choice tougher ;)

Best regards,
Wolfgang

Hi Wolfgang. To be honest, the 16-35 is so much more expensive for so little to gain over the 14-40. The tilt shift is a different matter....one I have lusted after. However, I cannot justify the expense (to my long suffering wife). If you win the Euro Lottery Millions, go for it! :D

cheers

They are sooo expensive. I had an Olympus 35mm OM shift lens for a while, used it twice and it was just too much $$ tied up in one optic. Regrettably sold it.
My bro has a rough FD shift he uses occasionally. There are some shift adapters for m43 as cheaper options
