more of hellos

Postby riccadonna » Mon Mar 13, 2017 2:41 pm

No projects, no travels, no series yet to come but I do hope something will inspire me to do more. Stanislaw.
By the way, I`ve read somewhere that GRIII is supposedly on the way. Good topic to start a topic on our unfulfilled wish list which I`m sure Ricoh people heard everything about. Sensor from KP sounds interesting, unflappable LCD would be nice, remote wi-fi or bluetooth why not. Meanwhile let`s pict.

That second one - in the park - is magical.

What do you think of a crop like the one below? Or have I committed a sacrilege? ;) Not the same, I know - but how would you describe the difference?

About wishes for the next Ricoh : I regret not having the GXR system, and would love to see a new version come out (although hardly any chance I suppose). IAC I'm good with my GR, first version, until it will succumb to dust and sand.

Hej quester.
Original, in fact slightly cropped, has theatrical landscape idea behind it, a scene flanked by trunks acting as a curtain drawn aside it`s like an opening shot. In you crop I can see a follow up scene leading attention to the couple in background and the somehow menacing shady foreground trunk, as if somebody was behind it watching the couple or waiting for them. Very good crop my friend. I had to use a short tele to compress the scene. Thats where my GXR comes handy.
Mine GR still works, I just take care in adverse weather using GH-3 adopter with filter.

Another thing I was thinking of with the crop - the bench on the left becomes more emphasized. Which adds a dimension of....uncertainty? Invitation? The couple has to "cross" the presence of the trunk of the tree to get to the bench...

hey Spode - this is jazz, not heavy metal.... ;)

Keep them coming Stanislaw. I rarely manage to get to places where there's a combination of people and interesting backdrops...and if I do, I'm too shy to shoot...!
