Surface Water Tension in a Tiny Beach Pool

This was a macro challenge that I could not quite get right. This tiny pool was evaporating fast in the hot sun. It was so small that the surface of the water was being distorted and stretched where it was in close contact with the rock around the edge, behaving as you might imagine a clear latex me...

This was a pic from 'home' from last month. The Kelp seaweed was exposed by an unusually low tide, and had already dried to leather in the early morning sun. The soft shale rock is also perforated by boring worms which, I think, adds something to the shot!

Fire Salamander

The 1st one I ever saw...apparently the yellow parts of the skin are full of neurotoxins...so not so edible, I would say!

The GX100 macro was so slow in focusing it very nearly got away... :o

And why does the 'exposure bias' read -10/10? This cannot be right... :(

OK, sorry about the Pentax...it was a 50th birthday present so am I excused? :D I had a GRV1 which I absolutely love (but now gathering dust in the back of a drawer) :-/ Now I do battle mostly with a GX100 which, if you can frighten it enough, it does produce some striking images, (even in JPEG), or...

That is a photograph which contains almost everything it needs to be timeless...a real stunner! I love the way the eye is first taken to the stark white platform and the two characters dressed in black...very science fiction...it leaves you wondering what you are really looking at until the building...
