Re: First the snow and now the rain

The trees are like lightning in the second one.
I can hear the wolves howling

A GR test chart

Over on DPReview there is a test chart for the GR and four other cameras. While I don't often take much heed of things and even though there have been a ton of reviews on the GR lens I thought I'd take a look. Its here http://www.dpreview.com/reviews/image-comparison/fullscreen?attr18=da...

Re: Two More

Loove the first one. A classic station image. The mix of sharp standing people and the blurred moving ones a likely tricky shot to get. Its a very interesting image and nice composition which leads the eye around the frame as you look at things from the billboards to the number on the pole. The seco...

Re: Mixed Architecture

I've enjoyed going on the walk with you.
We love this style of architecture and old town feel.

The door and the post office pics could be used to resurrect the "Old Doors" thread...
I think I have some to go for that soon.

So Pink

A local business offers a High Tea.
The decorations were quite detailed.
A bit of an experiment in post processing using DxO Optics Pro 8, which still seems to be available free.

Re: "Truth" and manipulation in World Press Photo Contest

I didn't even think about the staging and reenactment issue.
Mostly we center on post process.

Re: Sunday Sunshine

Hi Andy,

You have some nice azure blue skies going there. Very punchy and contrasty colours with some deep blacks and blues.
Looks like a nice part of the country. Much greener than here right now.

Re: An Apple

This one has me baffled Peter, on initial look the BW part looks like the side of a mountains with two levels of paths or roads.
So add the red gigantic apple and it just looks .. bizzare.
