Re: My GRD II on the way

Thanks Buzzrd, Hooray, it has arrived. I am quite impressed with build quality. It feels solid even though its small. The compact charger is great, no cords - very compact for travelling. The operating system took a few seconds to get used to as I came from a Nikon DSLR buts its very easy, also like...

My GRD II on the way

After lots of consideration and delay I have ordered a GRD II :D . I love the small high build quality compact and normally carry a Contax T3 (film) camera but I think the GRD II will be a great addition or option.

GRD II / GRD and 35mm lens

Not sure if this has been discussed before but would you buy a GRD/II with a 35mm lens as standard? (digital equivalent FOV)
Would trying to put a 35mm lens in there mean the camera would get thicker?

Re: new GRD I firmware with some of the GRDII features!

I notice with the new firmware autobracket goes to 0.5 ev, with HDR becomming popular would it have been nice to be able to go to +/- 1.0 or 2.0ev for autobracketing?

Re: Full resolution shots ISO80-1600

While these samples are welcome, but I'd like to see some taken in better conditions, outside, plenty of light etc.
This would help with a best case scenario of what the camera is capable of.

How much of an improvement over the GRD do you feel this is?

Re: GX100 - what is in a name?

Thank you odklizec for your reply and thoughts. I am leaning toward buying the GRD as I like the idea of single focal length and best possible optics for the size. I think sometimes  the zoom gets in the way of creative photography and I have had fixed Nikon 28mm film compact in the past and n...

GX100 - what is in a name?

GX100 - what is in a name Hello all, My first post on your Ricoh forum. I am a big fan of the small quality compact camera. I've owned Leica CM, Contax T2 and still have and carry a Contax T3 when I am unsure if I will be taking photos, a camera to carry just in case. I am looking to buy a GRD II or...
