Hi buzzard, only you can deceide if you want to sell you camera but I thought I'd share my thoughts. I bought the GRD II as a camera to carry when I am going out but going out not to take pictures. Its the camera I have just in case my eye sees something. I used to carry a Contax T3 for such trips a...

Re: GX100 vs GRD II build quality

Thanks odklizec,

these subtle differences are not apparent in product images and you descripion is quite detailed. The differences wont stop me from buying a GX100.

Thanks again

GX100 vs GRD II build quality

Hi,

I have recently aquired a GRD II and found the build quality to be more than acceptable. As I am now considering a GX100 would you say the build quality is the same as the GRD II??

What if anything is different about the materials or strength?

Thanks

Re: My GRD II on the way

Thanks Buzzrd, Hooray, it has arrived. I am quite impressed with build quality. It feels solid even though its small. The compact charger is great, no cords - very compact for travelling. The operating system took a few seconds to get used to as I came from a Nikon DSLR buts its very easy, also like...

My GRD II on the way

After lots of consideration and delay I have ordered a GRD II :D . I love the small high build quality compact and normally carry a Contax T3 (film) camera but I think the GRD II will be a great addition or option.

GRD II / GRD and 35mm lens

Not sure if this has been discussed before but would you buy a GRD/II with a 35mm lens as standard? (digital equivalent FOV)
Would trying to put a 35mm lens in there mean the camera would get thicker?

Re: new GRD I firmware with some of the GRDII features!

I notice with the new firmware autobracket goes to 0.5 ev, with HDR becomming popular would it have been nice to be able to go to +/- 1.0 or 2.0ev for autobracketing?

Re: Full resolution shots ISO80-1600

While these samples are welcome, but I'd like to see some taken in better conditions, outside, plenty of light etc.
This would help with a best case scenario of what the camera is capable of.

How much of an improvement over the GRD do you feel this is?
