Re: Just Merry Christmas

Just catching-up having been off grid. Nicely observed as always Stanislaw. Too late for Christmas wishes but hopefully not too late to wish you the all the best for 2017.

Re: Recent Travels in Scotland

Nice set Andy. I particularly like the Rosemarkie beach scene and the cheese shop.

Re: Beamish

Thanks Andy. A GR or GR II would be nice but I've spent all my pocket money for this year.

Re: Beamish

Thanks Quester. Yes, Beamish and other such open museums are a bit of a nostalgia trip. They've just secured funding to open another area dedicated to the 1950s which will be serious nostalgia for me. We looked in to the storage area and were amused to find a set of pyrex dishes identical to a set w...

Beamish

Our annual holiday was nearly 3 weeks in our old caravan with the 2 dogs near Durham in the north east of England. One reason to go there was to visit the open air museum at Beamish. Here are a few shots. I only had the trusty GRD4 with me.

Re: NW Italy with the GR - 3

Quester,

I've really enjoyed all 3 posts of your trip to Italy. I'm pleased to see that you and the GR are getting on together so well. Great compositions and subtle colour.

Re: Some weird rocks

Just catching-up having been away a while. Some very interesting shots - especially the ones taken low down looking upwards - and not at all what I would expect to find in Poland (my ignorance). Are these limestone formations Stanis?

Re: Military Architecture Question

Hi Andy,

Could the glazed window been a guard room - ie 'manned'?

This is a good place to go for information: http://www.subbrit.org.uk/
