Re: Ricoh GR built-in ND filter combined with external B+W 64x

I've tried the fixed 10ND & the variable one.
The cheap fixed 10ND is bettera than a polarized variable because apposing polarizing filters just don't work out on wide lenses.
Variable is blotchy. But the cheap fixed 10stop ND gave much bettera results.

So, how much zoom is zoomed

The latest trend in digital cameras at the moment is big zooms in small mirrorless cameras.
Hows this then ? http://industry.ricoh.com/en/binocular/nv-10a/spec.html
Ricoh once had a ½ frame binocular. Maybe its back as digital.

Re: Ricoh XR-P Mirror Cushion?

I'm sure it would of had one once. With time the foam deteriorates or the glue holding it in place has broken free along with the cushion.
Off to the camera tech then.

Re: GR as light meter for film?

This is how I check a hand held light meter How to check if the meter is reasonably accurate. Make sure that the pointer is reading zero with the cell covered with your hand. If not, adjust with the screw on the base. Point the meter to a clear north sky at any time between 10 A.M and 2 P.M.(norther...

Re: GR as light meter for film?

Think autochrome's onto something here, Film doesn't have a WB. I just use a light meter normally for film. But would like to check my digital cameras against my light meter someday. My light meter won't work at night. A digital camera with a screen on the rear will tell you something. Or you could ...

Re: Greetings from the wilds of Southern Oregon

Hi Miguel and welcome to the Ricoh forum.
I've had a few GR's and the current one is by far the best. I have no idea where Ricoh could go from here.
Enjoy your new camera and be sure to keep us posted.

Re: Ricoh GR - missing lens ring

E bay currently only has the one limited edition item no 221702943609 at a pricey $70

That's why when ever I tale the ring off the camera, I place it in the box the adapter tube / hood came in. For safe keeping.
When I'm finished with the adapter, back goes the ring.
