One of our valuable sponsors (
Mediachance) just released new revolutionary software for turning photos into paintings, which are painted in the style of old masters! The software (
Dynamic Auto Painter) is not just another kind of "
one time to apply" image filter. It actually paint the images! You can see the painting progress and even modify the various aspects of the painting in a runtime.
The software is a real fun to use and the results are very nice and "realistic". I mean, you can recognize the used master's style. Aside the nice alternative to the traditional photo editing techniques, I see the main usability of this new software in masking heavy in-camera noise reduction. I mean, many cameras (unfortunately, including actual Ricohs) produce too plasticky and heave noise reduced JPEGs, which often look like water painted. So why not to turn them into a real water paint masterpiece?
Here is a small taste of what you can do with it. For more examples see the the DAP page. I will add some more comments and examples once I get full version.
