Haven't posted anything here for ages. So just sharing an image taken with the D-Lux 5. I entitled it Calmness, which is in no way particularly good but I like it as it somewhat reflected the photographer's mind on his way to work on a hot morning. The last few weeks have been really hectic.

Hello Nevin. And thanks for posting this one..... I personally think you've chosen the perfect title for it. Serenity and calmness indeed. Quite amazing that you got this feel with the subject you've photographed. Calmness on the inside manifested as calmness on the outside. Nirvana you attained, if only for fleeting moments........Beautifully done. 8-)

Nevin, glad to see your post. I like it, they look like sentinels keeping there one eye on things!
Maybe its calm because of their presence?! :|

Well balanced backlight of the solid black of the street lights against the detailed whitish clouds. Nice work!
Take care, AlbertTRAL

Geeze, even tho' they're a family, they look so lonely, as if waiting for a human to turn on the light.....

Users here are always very supportive ;).

To streetshooter, maybe next time I can take a shot of them lit up and see if they will look less so : )

Genster and Tim, great to "see" you here and thanks! Tim, yes their presence gave a sense of some foothold to hold on to against the "something" looming over from the background.

Steve and MarcusEyre1, it was really a reflection of the mindset of the shooter. I am pretty sure that the next time I go past the scene and take a shot, the mood will be different from this one.

AlbertTRAL, thank you too. It was the contrast that first drew my attention. Usually when I shoot the sky, there would be a passer-by or two looking up towards the same direction and made a facial expression that "The silly man is shooting some silly pictures." The same happened in this case. Probably this is a photographer's eye that makes us stand out. Right? Keep up all of your good work in pursuing photography!

Awesome shot indeed! Love the simplicity and abstract composition. Well done ;) .
Cheers, Athena.
