It captures the stillness of the morning; an almost poetic silence which sucks in the observer.

I like this Mainiac for similar reasons as Andy. Still, Quit & just peaceful. A time to contemplate & enjoy. Calm.
This was my 4th of July.

Mainiac - your picture is stunning! I really like the atmosphere that has been enhanced by the use of B&W :D . Phil - isnt' the weather rather crazy here at the moment! It's been an unusually warm winter up here in Sydney - I had to wear a t-shirt for most of the day on 4th July, until the cold change hit in the late afternoon. As far as I can remember, I've never worn a t-shirt in the middle of winter. Very odd winter this year.

Excellent photo, everything about it is just "right", would make a great 20" x 30" print for wall hanging.
