SDHC card

I have a Panasonic 8Gb class 4 SD card is this suitable for a GXR P10 ?
Every time I try to format the card it lists an error with the date, I can only format the internall memory when the SD card is not fitted.

Hi Matt,

What kind of error you got exactly? Are you sure, the card was not locked for writing? One of my Panasonic cards has so flimsy write protection lock, that every time I insert the card to camera, it locked itself. So I locked it in "always open" position with a piece of tape

The error reads in the centre of the LCD

I connected to the PC and formated the card in My Computer.
