Yes I do! I miss my GRD III, I should have never parted with it. I was complaining about the 28mm, but I want it back
Now I am realizing how many good shots I took with it, the P10 does not compare at all to it!
The 1.9, the sharp lens, the tiny size
Miss it dearly!!!! I dont even know if I really want the GRD II anymore with the 2.5 instead of 1.9

Don't worry - the P10 produces amazing results if you just tweak the image settings and a few other settings properly. I can't stress this enough. I own one, and at first I wasn't too thrilled with it either, but take the time to get to know it more, and you will find you have an awesome tool. If you get the settings right, colours will be beautiful, B&W is stunning, macros are some of the best I've seen, and you would be surprised how sharp the images are on full zoom with 27cm macro if you steady the camera. I would avoid all auto settings as much as you can, and set it in the 'MY' settings to its (and your) ideal settings. That's how you will get the best out of this camera. In time, you will come to appreciate the zoom - even though I don't use it that frequently, I personally find it invaluable, and the prime lens on the GRD can be really frustrating. It really just depends on what you prefer, so maybe you might need more than one camera to meet all your needs? I can post a few pics on here so you can see what I'm talking about, if you want - just let me know.

I don't know what your financial situation, but if you can afford it, I can only suggest having both.

They would compliment each other very well. The bright but limited 28mm on the GRD and the long zoom on the P10.
It would give you a spare camera on an outing or trip should one fail. The combined weight and bulk would still be less than any DSLR just about.

I fully agree with Athena. You really need to work a GXR to get it right...for you.
I know you have the P10 but it's really a GXR and so it is expandable to your needs.

I also agree with Tim mainly because the GRD's are just uh...uh...

the image you have posted is by a Camera - i dont care what camera - because for me its a super image that hits me 'bang' with feeling - i guess i start to care more the less i feel it

Ahh, now this is spot on, its the content more than the IQ.

For a while, I shared the GRD1 with my partner. I haven't used it in ages, since I bought the CX3, then the GXR P10. The P10 is all I use nowadays, and since it's the only camera I rely upon, I have had to learn how to get all I possibly can out of it - and it hasn't let me down .

Perhaps an A28 module rather than the GRD?
APS-C IQ, good aperture and a big advantage is the controls and menus are still all the same.

Mix it with the P10 .. a formidable kit

Yes! Agree completely! I also own the CX3, and now when I look back at the pics I took with it, they are often just as good as the ones I have taken with the P10. I use the P10 because it has more options, but I wouldn't rate the images from the CX3 as anything less than the P10's images. Again, it's a case of getting the settings right so you can get the best out of the camera, and using it to do what it's best at - no matter whether it be a CX3, a DSLR, a two-cent disposable camera...In fact, I've seen some pretty bad images produced by people using the most expensive, top-of-the-range cameras. It really isn't about the camera, it's about the driver, as has been said many times on here. It's amazing what you can get out of a camera if you get to know it properly.
