If you mean selecting colour channels when converting RAW to B&W, I often do this. The effect is much the same as if a filter was used, I guess its a software filter. I often prefer a red for some portraits.

Excellent set Genster! If I remember well Scheveningen is also the place of a famous chess tournment...
