What A Machine Cannot Know

Postby Detail Man » Tue Jun 01, 2010 11:06 am

There is something to be said for not relying on (hardware/software) "machines" to make decisions relating to human perception ...

I checked it, and it is indeed true. The Gray-Level of the "dark" squares outside of the shadow of the cylindrical object
are absolutely identical to the Gray-Level of the "light" squares inside the shadow of the cylindrical object!
The RGB levels (in both cases) are R = 101, G = 101, and B =101 (out of a maximum tone-level of 255).

Before we can claim to have created an "artificial intelligence", we must manage to understand "intelligence" itself ... :P

Theres no need for the machine to find an "artificial intelligence". At least, it seems so when we see some TV an political shows... ;-)

Indeed, Rui, it appears that "artificial" is the emphasis in popular media, where "intelligence" need not apply ... :P
