Frequent Flash

Hi

My flash seems to be coming on almost relentlessly, in all lights. I've switched from aperture priority to general photo mode and its still coming on all the time?

Is there a setting I've changed somewhere?

Just been out in the back garden in the bright sun and its popping up and flashing again???

Hi,

Why you don't disable it? If you press the Flash button several times, you can choose the type of flash and even disable it completely.

As for why it jumps in the bright sun light, Flash can be effectively used also under the bright lightning conditions, to minimize the hard shadows. It's called Fill Flash. But I think the GRD flash jumps out always when the Flash is enabled? Just to make it ready for case it will be needed? My suggestion is to keep it disabled and only in case you need to use flash, enable the Flash mode you want to use.

In the end I chose to reset to default settings and the problem was resolved. Must of had it enabled as you said.
